pillow talk

3.06.2012

I have been on the lookout for a pillow or two for my bed.  It’s probably the last thing in my mind while I’m out shopping, so my pillow shopping has stuck mainly to online shopping. Here are a few that I’d love to have.

Fancy Drawers

2.01.2012

If you exchange gifts with a friend frequently (holidays/birthdays), you’ll find it gets tricky sometimes.  You need to remember what you got them last and what they got you – what’s going on in their life, what they recently bought, what they need, etc.  It’s a tedious (but fun!) task.
A few months before Christmas, I saw these gorgeous Chevron drawer liners from Hammocks & High Teas. I knew as soon as I laid eyes on them, they’d be perfect for my friend Melissa.  She just recently moved, loves gold, & probably wouldn’t buy them for herself.  I paired it with a super cute Anthropologie candle (also white & gold) and was very eager for her to open it.  Christmas came and not only did she love it, but Melissa had picked out the same exact drawer liners for me! I’ve really never had that happen to me, but was so happy because you usually end up really liking what you gift. Plus she paired it with some gorgeous Rifle Paper Co. Cards & stationary.
Anyways, I’ve been meaning to share these gorgeous liners with you for awhile!  Unfortunately, the Gold chevron liners are sold out – but they now offer them in Silver & Pink.

Flora Grubb Gardens

12.21.2011

After seeing Flora Grubb’s vertical flowers & gardens on Design*Sponge, I knew I had to purchase a few.  I ended up getting the Thigmotrope Satellite Fleet and I absolutely love them.  It puts some life into my room and airplants are perfect for my city dwelling lifestyle.

moving on

12.01.2011

Yesterday we moved. and carried boxes. and sat in traffic. and possibly side swiped a car. But the good news is it’s done! Last time we moved (only 3 months ago!) was a nightmare, so I think we have gotten a whole lot better at this whole moving thing! Happy December!
Special thanks to Matt, Ben, & Bri for their help – you guys made it so much easier…on Tim.
PS If any New Yorkers are trying to debate between Zipcar & Uhaul – go with Uhaul!! Better customer service & if you are moving within Manhattan you only pay per mile :)

someone like you

11.21.2011

I have been obsessed with this version of Adele’s “Someone Like You” live from her home.  Not only does it sound amazing, but I loved getting a glimpse into her home (which is gorgeous!). Below’s post is inspired by the video.
