Wanted: book recommendations

10.18.2012

I really do enjoy reading books but sadly, I don’t even remember the last book I read. I’ve been so consumed in the computer these days that I really don’t have time. But with my upcoming vacation and the long flight (18 hours?!), I’m looking forward to having some, well – a lot of time to read. Do you have any recommendations? Old, new, favorites? Please share!

Here’s a few of my favorite books. It’s a random little group, but if you haven’t read any of them you should!

Searching for a good simple gift? Try passing on one of these independent magazines, they have great design, content & are usually harder to find in stores.

Happy Friday // Bookworm

3.16.2012

Happy Friday! How cool is this bed? Created by Yusuke Suzuki, this bed can fold up during the day and opens up at night to make the coziest beds.  I’ve recently become obsessed with The Hunger Games (a little late!) but I’d love to curl up and read in this “book”. Found here.

Book Exchange

11.22.2011

Chances are you might be running out of gift ideas for your siblings.  My three older brothers and I started to do a Secret Santa a few years ago to add some surprise & also to save some money in general.  This year we have decided to do a book exchange (the great idea came from my oldest brother Paul).  I can’t wait to see what book someone else has picked out for me, plus this will test my gifting skills – it’s a huge challenge to pick out a book for someone else!

P.S. If you are interested in doing a Secret Santa gift exchange, try Elfster.  It’s an easy way to organize a gift exchange, especially if your participants live all over the country.

Book Club

11.10.2011

Some friends and I have decided to start a book club.  I think it will be a great way to keep us on top of reading and to exercise our brain a bit.

Our first book is….

Steve Jobs by Water Isaacson.  I’m a huge Steve Jobs fan (along with the rest of the world), so I am eager to read any details about his life I don’t already know.
