Eek, sorry it has been so long since my last blog post. I really did just disappear. So much has happened in the last month that it really seems like a dream/blur. Here’s a little recap:
Hurricane Sandy came leaving NYC & Brooklyn in crisis mode with no public transportation. We luckily had no damage but some friends were stranded in our cozy little Brooklyn apartment. My two week vacation time was increased to almost three because of Sandy (no complaints here). I did heroically show up at work (after a two hour walk!) the Friday before vacation out of guilt.
Ah, yes – I went to South Africa! Tim and I had an amazing, amazing time and I hope to put together a little photo set & any recs for anyone with SA on their list. Shark Tank aired featuring Nearly Newlywed. I made a brief cameo & Jackie killed it, you can watch it here.
Thanksgiving was full of turkey & jet lag. And now it’s December – a time of holiday cards, gifts, cheesy christmas parties, and when work really drags. I’m excited to get back into it and post some gift guides!

Do you guys have a fall tradition? I usually always want to go pumpkin or apple picking but usually never get around to it. One tradition we’ve been sticking to is pumpkin carving. I’m terrible at it but we drink apple cider/wine and everyone gets competitive
